With our Green Travel offer we also want to promote environmentally friendly travel: guests who arrive by public transport receive up to 10% discount on the daily rate. At Das Hopfgarten, conscious and efficient use of energy is prioritized. The resort is heated CO₂-neutrally and without fossil fuels. The indoor pool is heated using heat pump energy . Additionally, heat generated from cooling and freezing systems is heat recovery reused – so that existing energy remains in the cycle as efficiently as possible.
The Brixental has drinking water of excellent quality. At Das Hopfgarten - Move & Relax, regional tap water can therefore be used directly. This saves additional transport routes and packaging and makes a valuable natural resource of the region a natural part of the stay.
For breakfast, we also focus on regionality, seasonality, and short distances. A large part of the food used comes from Austria; for pastries, milk, cold cuts, fruit, vegetables, and eggs , we consistently ensure Austrian origin. The ingredients are processed as gently as possible, so that quality, valuable nutrients, and natural taste are best preserved.
Sustainability is also evident in the daily handling of packaging and waste. Where possible, single-use and portion packaging is reduced and replaced by larger containers or reusable solutions . Waste is carefully separated, and organic waste is further utilized. This way, resources can be used more consciously behind the scenes, and waste volumes can be reduced.
Sustainability also means responsibility towards the people, who fill Das Hopfgarten with life every day. Respectful cooperation, fair working conditions, and opportunities for professional and personal development are part of this, as is long-term cooperation within the team. Das Hopfgarten is particularly easy to reach by train and bus . The station Hopfgarten Berglift is only a few minutes' walk from the aparthotel. With the regional guest card, public transport in the region can be used free of charge. Those arriving by public transport also benefit from the advantages of the Green Travel Rate.
For electric vehicles, e-charging stations are available. With the BMW iX1 xDrive30 there is also an electric mobility solution directly on site – for flexible excursions in the Brixental and the Kitzbühel Alps.
Buildings and equipment also contribute to a responsible use of resources. Natural materials, efficient heating technology, good insulation, and energy-saving solutions help to reduce energy consumption during operation. Where possible, cooperation is also sought with regional companies and partners .
