Winter adventures away from the piste
Every year Mother Hulda transforms the Kitzbühel Alps into a snow-white winter wonderland, which doesn’t just send skiers into raptures. The Tyrol mountains and their thick covering of snow enchant everyone else too. All this rummaging about in the snow is right on our hotel doorstep – how could it be any different.
Ice-skating
During a winter holiday, ice skating in Das Hopfgarten Aparthotel is a very special joy.

Tobogganing
Winter fun that inspires everyone is waiting right on the doorstep for you: our own tobogganing area for children. Perfect for enjoying the cold season to the full. Slip into some warm winter clothes, grab a Bob, toboggan or sled and let the fun begin.
The region’s toboggan runs also promise a great deal of adventure:
- Kirchholz and Haagalm toboggan run (Hopfgarten)
- Brixenbachalm toboggan path (Brixen im Thale)
- Talkaser-Schrandlhof toboggan run (Westendorf)
Night-time tobogganing in Söll is an exciting experience. Our Reception team are happy to answer any questions you have about toboggan runs and night-time tobogganing.
Winter hiking
Dreamy snow-shoe hikers, ski tourers and winter hikers can head out direct from the hotel – at Reception, we are happy to provide you with a few tour tips for you to take on your way. And the tourist association organises guided tours on a regular basis.
Indoor pool and wellness
On days when the weather isn’t so good, when you want a bit of a change, or after an adventure outdoors, you can relax in the hotel's own indoor pool, which has a separate pool for children or unwind in the wellness area, which has a sauna and steam bath.
A variety of other activities await too:
- Horse-drawn carriage ride: We are happy to organise an idyllic horse-drawn carriage ride, when you can enjoy the wintry natural surroundings snuggled up in warm blankets.
- Cross-country skiing: Prefer to let your thoughts roam while out enjoying some cross-country skiing? Then we recommend the 4.1 km trail in Hopfgarten. The 6.9 km Kelchsau trail also proceeds through a fairy-tale winter landscape.
